The Great Purple Frog Mince Pie Tasting

Christmas is coming and hopefully the Frogs won’t be getting fat!

Here at Purple Frog we love a little bit of festive cheer and this year is no different. This Christmas we have cooked up something special and decided the world needs to know, just who does make the finest mince pies?

Of course eating all these pies is going to be a tough challenge but we feel we owe it to ourselves and all of our wonderful clients/friends to find out which pie deserves the title ‘Purple Frog’s Mince Pie of Choice 2011’.

Our resident food expert Ralph Barter and fellow fondant fancier Mr James Olney have prepared the judging criteria, with categories being marked out of 10.Mince pies will be judged as follows;

Appearance (out of 10)
Texture (out of 10)
Taste (mincemeat out of 5 /pastry out of 5)
Value for money (out of 10)

All tasting sessions and judging will be posted online with our first tasting scheduled to commence on Thursday 1st December.
