Haddenham Real Ale Festival 2010

Yet again the summer is nearly upon us and it will soon be time for the Haddenham Real Ale Festival, which this year will be even bigger and better than before. Each year this festival has grown and each year we keep increasing the amount of beer and other drinks on offer in order to try and stop running out but as yet we have failed in this endeavour, although last year we were able to draft in some emergency supplies so we had beer until the last band had finished.

This year we will have 65 barrels of real ale, 20 barrels of cider, 5 barrels of real lager, 288 bottles of beers of the world, Pimms and wine along with a BBQ, Indian food, Olives, Pig Roast and Strawberries and cream.

With entertainment throughout the day and evening (including the World Cup) we are expecting to have more than 2,000 visitors an increase over last year of about 200 and providing we get all the barrels sponsored then we should hopefully raise more than the £20,000 we did last year.

    Hi Tessa,

Currently you can’t but it may be introduced in the future. The site is evolving to meet the needs of the festival and there will no doubt bne more improvements before the Winter one.

    #McDstories – McDonald’s first Twitter crisis of 2012?

On 18th January McDonald’s started a twitter campaign to promote the brand’s guarantee of fresh produce with the hashtags #MeetTheFarmers and #McDstories. The wholesomeness of the campaign’s intentions soon crashed and burnt as consumers started to supply their own #McDstories (and comments). Topics covered included the meat content, McDonald’s horror stories – such as fingernails [...]
