On the 23rd February I saw Jim Brooks give a Seminar at the Technology for Marketing and Advertising Exhibition at Earls court. Jim is an ex-creative director who has moved into mobile marketing consultancy and advises many large corporates on how they can cut through the noise of the mobile market place and in doing so look at how they can achieve success without alienating their customers and potential customers.

Below is a link to a video of his seminar which you main find of interest. The video is courtesy of seminarstreams.com

Making money out of mobile technology should be of interest to all companies but it is also possible to develop a platform for mobile marketing which will deliver returns offline as well as online but remember the development of smart phones has opened up a whole new way of interacting with your customers and potential customers you just need to ensure that you communicate with them in a manner that engages them and does not feel like you are invading their private space.

Above all do not use this channel for unsolicited contact it will not be appreciated and will potentially damage your brand as much as the automated never ending press button customer service lines do when you ring them.
