Pyramid Selling

The new TV ad for the Halifax features their employees demonstrating an impressive array of acrobatic skills to give their loyal savers a reward. With only each other for support they battle to reach their customer base wherever they may be.

So what are they trying to say? That we REALLY CARE about the customer. Honestly, WE REALLY DO. And the best use of our time is to circus-train a group of 50 members of staff and send them out to all of our customers in person, and give them five whole pounds. Yes, that’s right. Five whole pounds. But only if you give us £1,000 a month. Oh, and just to prove we’re one of those new ‘humankind’ banks we’ve used some twee, folksy music on the ad.

Convinced?
